In a thrilling NBA playoff game, Karl-Anthony Towns put on a dominant performance, leading the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 117-109 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 1 of their first-round series.

Towns, who has been hampered by a knee injury, played 32 minutes and finished with 23 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal. He shot 6-for-20 from the field, including 2-for-9 from three-point range, but made up for it by hitting all two of his free throws.

Towns' performance was even more impressive considering he was playing through pain. He left the game briefly in the first half to get his knee checked out, but returned and played through the discomfort to help his team secure the win.

The Timberwolves will look to take a 2-0 lead in the series when they host the Grizzlies in Game 2 on Tuesday night.
